Screening of opera performances directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski

In Poland, operas directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski can only be watched via the Internet or the Mezzo television channel. This limited access makes it difficult to fully appreciate the extent and importance of those works. The universe that Warlikowski has created over the years at the most important opera houses in Europe has become a reference point not only for lyrical theatre in general, but also for his own shows at Nowy Teatr. These big opera productions, with the best of conductors and cast, dazzle with excellent direction and stage design, but most importantly exhibit that inquisitive approach of Warlikowski, his desire to get to their potential and oft-hidden meanings.

The screenings of operas by Krzysztof Warlikowski will take place within the excellent environ of our renovated hall.
